A DADA Experiment

I made these last year during my independent study in Poetry & Comix with Arielle Greenberg. Here’s my process:

1. Find some old magazines you can cut up.

2. Cut squares (or other shapes) out of multiple pages without selecting what you’re cutting out. In other words, the contents of the squares should be random.

3. Pair text-heavy squares with image-heavy ones.

4. Select words from the text squares, cut them out, and arrange them on their respective image squares.

And there you have it, a DADA-esque experiment with text and image!
